Day Seven

Next up, lines in Nature.  With mini theme for this section of the color brown.  Since everything out there is still dead!  I had another shot of the leaf using the macro lens, and I never noticed how much a dead leaf looks like leather when you get up really really close.  Or cracked, hard packed, dry desert.

  1. Great lighting to bring out the warmth and texture in that leaf and you chose a good way to frame it in your composition choice. I only wish that you had used a black background instead of white, as those cracks and holes are distracting, and I think black would have made them more a part of the image.

  2. A great macro with every line showing. I agree with Kim about the background but it's still so very good.

  3. I'm looking forward to what I'm guessing will be a brown/orange/tan week of lines. Building up to a wonderfully graphic series of images!

  4. A completely different type of lines, organic instead of straight but again very atrractive in the way you shoot them.

  7. You have certainly shown how dried up and crinkled this guy is.

  8. the texture of the leaf sure does look like it is covered in fine sand. I tend to agree with Kim that a background in black would have been a better choice. Still good photo. Maggie
